F. Moore McLaughlin Selected as President-Elect
All States 1031 Exchange Facilitator, LLC congratulates owner and tax attorney, F. Moore McLaughlin, IV, Esq. CPA, CES® on his selection as President-Elect of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA). As President-Elect, Moore will succeed Mary Foster as President of the FEA at the FEA Annual Conference in Las Vegas on October 10-11, 2008.
The Federation of Exchange Accommodators is the national trade organization formed to represent qualified intermediaries (QIs), their primary legal/tax advisors, and affiliates who are directly involved in Section 1031 Exchanges. Formed in 1989, the FEA was organized to promote the discussion of ideas and innovations in the industry, to establish and promote ethical standards of conduct for QIs, to offer education to both the exchange industry and the general public, and to work toward the development of uniformity of practice and terminology within the exchange profession. The FEA also provides timely input and updates on pending issues at the State and Federal level, Internal Revenue Service and Treasury Rulings, and Court Decisions. For more information on the FEA, visit www.1031.org.
Moore was selected as President-Elect as a result of his outstanding service to the FEA in his role as a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Founder and Chair of the Small Business Resource Committee, Founder and Chair of the Affiliates Committee and frequent speaker at the FEA Annual, Mid-Year and Regional Conferences. Moore’s extensive involvement with the FEA and his continued support of their ideals and continuing education programs has proved to be a tremendous asset to the organization and its members. Moore will follow a long line of excellent Presidents of the FEA and looks forward to leading the organization to new heights over the course of his one-year term.
In addition to serving as President of the FEA and the owner of All States 1031 Exchange Facilitator, LLC, Moore will continue his law practice at McLaughlin & Quinn, LLC in Providence and Boston where he practices tax law in representing real estate developers, owners and investors in structuring their transactions and holdings in order to minimize taxes while providing the highest level of asset protection possible. In addition, he focuses his practice on estate planning for these same clients. Learn more about Moore’s law practice at www.mclaughlinquinn.com.
